Passed the OSS-DB Silver Exam
→ 日本語版を読むOverview
I had an opportunity to use PostgreSQL at work, so I decided to take the exam.
My study approach was to read through "PostgreSQL Internal Structure Design and Operations Planning: The Iron Rules" and then the OSS textbook in that order, followed by the Udemy mock exam. After that, I tried the OSS textbook mock exam. I did the OSS textbook mock exam on the day of the actual exam itself, and because the questions were quite advanced, I scored just under 50% and was quite anxious. I reviewed all the questions I had answered incorrectly right up until the exam and managed to pass somehow 💦
The exam covered fairly detailed points. There were also a few questions that weren't covered by the study materials.
The study period was just under 3 weeks. As stated on the official site, I think you can pass with 2 weeks to 1 month of preparation, but it's best not to let your guard down.

Impressions After Taking the Exam
I started with almost no knowledge of PostgreSQL, but through this exam I was able to learn systematically and efficiently.
I highly recommend this exam for those who have no experience with PostgreSQL.
Among the materials I used, the OSS教科書 OSS-DB Silver Ver2.0対応 is very well organized and is highly recommended even for those not taking the exam.
